Good luck, 2m 52s loop, Video/Sound
There are several questions that I have, the answers to which are all – somehow – in the future. Answers in this time we are living in, belong to the realm of hypotheses. Technology has definitely affected human behavior, the cultures of different societies has manifested itself in a direct and different manner. The space for expression and dissemination of ideas and educational tools are accessible and easy to use, more than any other time, through the internet. With the content created on the internet – through social media platforms – reaching the media, and television advertisements, and affecting them and the industry, the possibility that this content would affect official and academic institutions in the future, is much bigger and unforeseen
"Good Luck" is an attempt at an imaginary simulation in the form of an exam at the School of Media at Cairo University on the most important texts and quotations that have appeared on social media platforms in the last ten years in Egypt. Quotations that have become – somewhat – part of the society, that are used by many in their everyday conversations, especially youth, that have been created through the power of what is called digital culture
"Good Luck" is a video/sound/text project and it is an interactive project that parallels the interaction on means of social communication. The project aims to also project the final exam paper in print on the way, and interacting with the audience on an individual basis or in groups to try to answer the exam questions and record the answers vocally. After gathering the audio exam answers, he will work on producing new music using these recordings
